Flows Like Water Over The Land
The morning started out bright and sunny with blue skies and bird song.
That's as good as it got.
Set out with about five jobs to do today and was thwarted on each one. It was one of "those" Mondays!
It was interesting driving home though. Coming out of Carlisle, towards Westlinton, you just hit a bank of fog. It was very thick all the way into Longtown and out the other side. About 2 miles out of Longtown it ceased and we were back into blue sky again.
When I got home I looked out of the attic window and was amazed to see how deep the fog actually was. It was visible over the top of the hill. We live on the side of hill, with a small vale in front of us, so we have pretty good views.
As I stood watching the fog move, it was just like a wave continually surging forward, it flowed into the vale and then spread upwards, like a pond being filled.
By the time the OH got home it was well and truly upon us. He said he was down to 20MPH in the last few miles as it was so thick.
I put the outside light on and looking out of the window it was just white. You couldn't even see the hedge on the other side of the road.
Today's blip was taken just as I drove out of the fog. It was moving over the fields, but the sun was still visible in the top left hand corner.
