Carmen Rosa....superstar cholita wrestler

Day 3 in La Paz and we were starting to feel almost human able to walk a little faster and a little further. The morning was spent ducking and diving through the Witches Market where you can buy absolutely everything.

In the afternoon our new group made up of 12 young, energetic travellers (7 Aussies, 4 Brits and 1 Norwegian) ventured on a tour to see the other side of La Paz and went to the Cholita Wrestling.

It was held in a gym in the El Alto high plain region and proved to be a real hit with everybody. We had front row seats and watched 3 bouts or matches. All high energy with great costumes, theme music and acrobatic moves.

The crowd favorite was a Cholita wrestler called Carmen Rosa lapping up all the attention including the applause and kisses we blew.
