D Day

To day was spent in DIT.
The morning found us in Mountjoy Square with Third and Fourth year students of Visual Communications discussing the re-branding of Wells for Zoe.
The Lecturers Brenda Dermody and Clare Bell, and their students were inspiring in their interest and attention to my usual rants and woffles. Hopefully we will get a new view of ourselves!!
We then headed across town to meet students of Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Sciences. We also met Head of College, Dr Declan McCormack and placement officer Dr Patrice Behan.
The picture shows Riki and Richie , students coming on placement, in Malawi, as part of their course, Dr Claire McDonnell their lecturer, Professor John Cassidy, Mary and Dr Catherine Bates, project co-ordinator of Students Learning with Communities.
Did I mention the car, which had a major overheat in the morning, well it will be back on the road tomorrow with a new water hose pipe!! Even the taxi driver felt sorry and cut the fare, saying you have enough trouble for one day. What a way to start a week. great!!
