A seasider's view

A procession of forlorn geese

I've been to not terribly far flung parts the last couple of days, so I've got some blip catching up to do. (I also have ironing to do, but priorities, priorities...)

I had reason to be at Annandale Water services on Friday, and discovered a gaggle of geese on the frozen pond at the back of the service station.

I'm not sure if they had just flown onto the ice, or had been exploring this new phenomen of "hard" water, but they were in a huddle in the middle, giving the odd "honk" of confusion.

After a bit, one took the initiative and waddled, in a very careful and slow way, to the edge of the frozen pond and in to a small patch of water, and the rest followed suit.

Hilarious to watch....
