I need a hug!!!!
What a flipping day!!!
We decided not to drive up to Edinburgh for the blip-première, based on the weather reports of ice, ice and more ice. We thought we would go up to Carlisle as an alternative. We stopped in a lay-by to snap the fog lying in the Eden Valley, but Jane spotted this bird, so I took this instead!!
Well, the kids were a mess of hormones and bad mood - so I was frazzled! We let the girls go off and do girl stuff and wandered round with Nevyn by ourselves, which was marginally more relaxing!!
I took my iPad *sob* to the shop to get sorted out; it has had a broken mic since I got it, so it needed to be fixed - but its a vital part of my anatomy now and I miss it. *sob*
We went to Pizza Hut with the children for food; Lyssa had been telling us she had a lopsided smile and so while we were eating I kept an eye on her. It looked like she had a palsy or had had a stroke, so we brought her home and took her to the hospital. The doctor says she has Bell's Palsy - but that children do not get Bell's Palsy, so she is a very rare case!
We are back at the GP in the morning to make sure, but Lyssa is already on a very high dose of steroids and an anti-viral drug, which will hopefully stop the palsy in its tracks as it is very early days, but the doctor says it will likely get worse before it gets better, with the left side of her face not working properly.
Jeez! I really need a hug! (Although not as much as Lyssa, which she is getting!)
