Oval Hall Ceiling

It would have been easy to blip a snow filled picture today, but this afternoon we all went to the City Hall in Sheffield for a charity concert.

A local orchestra were putting on a family themed concert in conjunction with The Children's Hospital. The focal point was a performance of Peter & The Wolf, with other pieces including Pirates of the Caribbean, Doctor Who, Wallace & Grommit...

It was a first visit to the City Hall for the children and they looked in wonder at the stage - which was interesting for us as the ornate back wall s usually covered by a curtain for gigs and comedy. Up above there was the ornate ceiling of the Oval Hall. I laid back in my seat and snapped this - hardly does it justice. Anyway a great time was had by all and hopefully a decent amount was raised for the Hospital. I know from our own experience how lucky we are to have a specialist children's hospital on our doorstep.
