Composition No 480: Pictish Beast and Crescent

On a walk beside the little known Aberdeenshire Canal today a friend and I stumbled on the Broomend of Crichie Stone Circle.
Constructed around the time of the Great Pyramid of Giza and completely devoid of tourists, it lies in a field near Port Elphinstone, Inverurie.
