here's one I made earlier

the rather fancy and phenomonally expensive lights hanging here had no means of support when we refurbished this bar a few years ago.

On top of that the glass roof is structural because people get on it to do maintenance of the building

We had to come up with a reasonably cheap and good looking way of supporting the lights which the ever-cautious structural engineer woud approve ......

It took a few weeks to get everyone to buy into the system but now the supports have been up for a few years they fit in quite well
