Flowing stream with ice
This was taken from the tow path of the Monmouth & Brecon Canal looking down on stream that runs beneath the canal. I was concentrating on the ice formation and got lucky with the moment in the stream; especially as I was resting on a post rather using a tripod.
We were lucky with the weather up on the hills the wind and the snow made walking horrible but down in the valley following the canal along the Usk was beautiful.
The hospitable Peter Evans had a room available at The Old Store House, so to Brecon on Friday night. We arrived in time to unload the car head head for the great food and beer at the The Star Inn, Talybont-on-Usk. After one of Peter's amazing breakfasts we headed off to look look at a barn (a barn, not a barn conversion), great location with amazing views for 270 degrees. Shame the rest did not live up to expectations. So the hunt goes no. Still we had time for a relaxing walk along the tow path before the sun went down.
