Sunday: Gerard

I came across some of my old school books yesterday, including this one from my English A'level course, 'Poems and Prose', by Gerard Manley Hopkins.  There are a couple of things that really struck me:

a) My handwriting is most bizarre;
b) I can remember precisely nothing of Hopkins' work;
c) I still don't know what a 'wimpling wing' or a '1/2 line tail piece' is and doubt I ever will and
d) The words 'Gerard Manley Hopkins' can still strike cold fear into my inner being......

Can you tell I haven't been out of the house today?
