Crow's Nest
The snow was still here in the morning, so we dragged four sledges onto the moor and spent a couple of hours sliding down small hills. We're glad we spent the morning out, as more than half the snow has gone now. As a mini snow event this has so far been timed well, no disruptions to school or work journeys and plenty of time to enjoy it. Fingers crossed for travel in the morning.
This is a corner of moor that I often blip, and it's probably the signature Baildon Moor view for me. One surprise today was a large flock of Lapwings that passed over a few times during the course of the morning, as if they were circling the moor. There are a few Lapwing pastures around the edges of the moor, but we wouldn't be expecting them to arrive just yet.
spying winter
from the crow's nest
thar she blows
