Colin McLean

Ally Bally, Ally Bally Bee

I was visting my mother in the Edinburgh Royal Infirmay the evening after her operation to fix a broken hip as the result of a fall at home. I didn't stay long as she was still dozy after the anaesthetic.

Seeing this poem on the wall of the hospital corridor reminded me of when she used to sing it to my brothers and me.
