a perfect Sunday
loads of snow last night, so already knew that i'd have fab photo opportunities today. got the sunday roast cooking slowly in the oven, and set off at 10am with a rucksack full of cameras to walk over the fields up to mums. the scenes were breathtaking. untouched white fields, set beneath a hazy white sky. took loads of photos. this shot was one of two perfect pictures. as i was walking along the side of the brook in Giltbrook, i remembered the picture i took of the Robin at CP last week, and thought how wonderful it would be to see one in the snow. as i came to a stile, i saw something move under a tree out of the corner of my eye. it was a plump robin red-breast. i daren't move in case it flew off. carefully, i took aim with the camera and it posed for 4 shots! perfect. got to mums, had milky coffee with a nip of whisky and set off back home. out for 3 hours in the glorious fresh air. back home to the smell of sunday roast.....could it be a more perfect day?!
