Today was perfect. I'm going to tell you all about it.

Started out with my little cousin Kendal's birthday party. She turned two, and she's adorable. Spending time with my family and all of the babies and little kids around always makes me happy.

Then the afternoon was great.These people are Abby, Sydney and Sam. They have been three of my best friends for quite some time. Abby and Sydney were home from college for the weekend so today we all went up to Whitehall and Montague to go to antique shops and walk around. I got a really neat old book to add to my collection, and a vintage comic book that was only 30 cents. We got to do a lot of catching up, too. Then we surprised Keeghan by showing up at his work so they could all meet before we went back to Sydney's. I told him it was payback for Thursday night when he showed up at my house out of the blue. I think he appreciated that.

Sydney's dad, Kev, is a really good cook and he made us pasta and the best salad I've had in a long time while we listened to Steely Dan and pretended it was the 90's. And Kev said something that I really appreciated: "There just aren't enough hippies in the world today."

Now I'm home and about to do all of the homework I've been putting off because it's due at midnight. I'm determined to get it done though so I can watch Bon Iver on SNL. Oh and Channing Tatum's abs, I hear they are hosting.
