Silent Devices

As they're a band, I wouldn't have though they'd count as silent...

The Textiles Committee had "organised" an acoustic night in the Orange Tree as a fundraiser, but as can perhaps be expected, they knew nothing about sound. After they'd been bounced around the Union for about 6 weeks, I finally managed to meet the chair on Tuesday - with 2 days to go until the gig. Luckily, the Orange Tree possess a plastic-fantastic boxes-on-sticks PA system, which sounded a lot better than I was fearing from Behringer kit. With a combination of my mics, their PA and a whole lot of luck the gig went down without a hitch...

It was a bit annoying, because with more time I could have sorted out some better kit, including enough input channels and even some stage monitors, but ho hum.

These lot sounded like they were about 3 chord changes away from turning into Elbow, if anyone's interested.
