Work Party at Home

Five families who all have land based projects have come together and formed a work group, to give each other a hand on tasks that would feel a bit daunting on ones own. We have harvested spuds with working horses at Tim and Sandra's, cut some Leylandii trees down at Seb and Linda's, more spud harvesting at Mike and Madeline's, turkey plucking at Martin's, quite relieved I was working when that one happened! So today at my place, we cleared brambles, repaired the chicken house, mended the chicken run fence and planted a few trees. Persuaded everyone to pose for my blip, it was pouring with rain when we started, so we're all a bit bedraggled !
After the work we eat lots and make merry, So now I'm shattered, not so much from the work but making lots of cuppa's and cooking! Great to have got something done on the place and in such good company.
