Up again at the crack of dawn for Saturday practice, only to find the canal completely frozen over and that I had arrived half an hour early, with only two boys who were amusing themselves by breaking the ice and throwing it about - a disaster waiting to happen. A very chilly thirty minutes later and the boathouse was open, the heaters were put on full and we began a wonderful ergo session in preparation for Scottish Indoor Rowing Championships tomorrow.

Me and the parents drove up to St Andrews in the evening to pick my brother up after his week away skiing (partying) in Val Thorens with SA university ski team. It's great to have him back and we stopped off for a fish and chips on the way home, which probably wasn't the greatest idea seeing as I'm racing tomorrow morning..!
