One puzzled pooch!

The EDL and Unite Against Fascism protest groups both marched in town today. I've never seen so many police - over 2000 apparently, shipped in from other forces to boost numbers - and they had horses too. A strange experience to see the city centre so deserted and quiet but with so many police and then the noise of protesters. I've never seen a line of police before. They looked like they were feeling the cold. There was one ever so slightly scary moment when lots of guys were running across the roundabout towards us and police on horses were galloping alongside, and the three of us girls heading back from a cancelled ballet rehearsal all said 'we don't really want to get caught in this'! But it seems to be over and done with. And I took a few photos but like the poor puzzled Dalmatian photo best.
