finally gave the new trendy sushi place, Shinjuku Station, a try. nice atmosphere (some pretty good photography a la Lost in Translation--because, yes, Sofia Coppola is the only Westerner to visit Japan and find it aesthetically exotic; time to revisit Edward Said) and waaaay cheaper than it could/should have been--either it's still a hidden gem, i still haven't accommodated to Fort Worth's costs, or the previous sushi places i've been to were entirely overpriced. or, could be a combination of the three. regardless, it was a tasty night out. i love sashimi--simple, clean, texturous, flavorful.
the guy in this image was a few tables down from us and ordered the full headed/eyed/tailed snapper.
oh, and i got a haircut today, too.
