Another day, another school.
Today we visited Belgrove Senior Girls' School in Clontarf, where longtime friend Ann McCarthy is the Principal and where Summer volunteer Fiona Gearty teaches in the junior school.
The welcome was wholehearted and we met all the classes, three at a time, 5 sessions. Mary is dead after it. Of course the teachers were going full speed ahead until the last second. How do they do it? and of course Ann hadn't thought about finishing. She's a bundle of energy.
The students were all so mature and attentive and asked amazing and pertinent questions. It was also great to meet all the teachers who were so supportive, warm and friendly. Looks like one or two may volunteer to help with teacher training in Malawi during the summer holidays.
They would be wonderful there too, so bubbly and sparkly were they!
It was a delight to be there and inspirational for us.
