"I had a passion for maps"

We have quite a lot of ordnance survey maps in our house, because my wife is an ultra runner and loves getting up mountains. Like books, maps are an analogue artefact which many people have an affection for. GPS and SatNav are usually better for most navigation, but maps are good for planning journeys and also for the romance of travel.
The title is from Conrad's Heart of Darkness by the way.
