Budding Interest
It's another gloriously sunny day here in the Dyfi Valley. The frost is deep; bright crystals of ice jut up from leaves and branches, reflecting the sun in a myriad of rainbow flashes.
It's only natural that a shutterbug should make the most of it, right? Right!
So I wrapped up warmly and went in search of some tasty, frosty macros. I perched myself on a tree stump in the back garden and looked around for the perfect patch of frost...
...and this little fellow chirruped at me from a tree a couple of feet away. I turned slowly and lifted my camera, conscious that the noise of it focussing might scare him off - but no. He happily sat there watching me watching him.
I love the way he seems to be smiling as he surveys his surroundings; almost as if he's content in the knowledge that warmer days are just around the corner.
