A forgotten corner of Cheshire

I came upon this scene in my late-evening travels (I thought I needed to get out more), and stood for a while considering the fact that the digger will get more and more rusty and gradually rot away to nothing, whereas the plastic pipe will last for hundreds of years. The pile of bricks will be gone in a few years too (they have to be built into a wall to last).

The conclusion that I came to was that we should build diggers and houses out of plastic pipes.

And on the subject of warped thinking, I overheard something a middle-aged woman was telling her companion:

".... I went to the doctor's yesterday, and he told me I was psychological. Can you believe that?
There's no way I'm psychological - I was bought up properly!"

Uh?
