Pelicans in Tortola
We should have gone to Sage Mountain, the national park rainforest, but were strongly advised against it because of the wet and slippery conditions due to an unusual amount of rain this January, attributed to climate change.
Instead we jumped on a local bus and had a tour of the island . Our driver, Mackenzie, claimed Scottish heritage though he says it was a long time back.
Eventually we ended up on Cane Gardens beach where we watched pelicans and frigate birds dive-bombing for fish oblivious to the swimmers.
( Having serious problems with internet connection aboard ship. Hence sporadic blips.)
