Big Storm No 2

I am back blipping this shot as the power went off last night at about 10.00pm and we didn't get it back on untill about 10 the following morning. It wasn't too bad as most of it was overnight and we had taken precautions, torches to hand and lots of containers full of water, including the bath ( our water is pumped from a tank). The worst experience was this morning when we realised that both landline and mobile phones were off, and we really felt isolated, not knowing how extensive it was.
Anyway, the second major storm in four days, and this is not storm damage but the slow progress of the demolition of the Stone Store bridge. The Council have been struggling to demolish it for over four weeks and have been helped a bit by the storm. This was the location for the live broadcast by the TV One roving reporter this morning but I was disappointed that the waters had subsided quite a bit by the time I got there in the afternoon.
