Grounded
Is what myself and Arwen have been today. After blipping last night, the other half went out to pick Josie up from the train station and was alarmed at the noises the car was making. That and the amount of steam coming off the engine was also a concern. So, after inpsecting it, he found no oil in the oil thingie but lots of oil in the water thingie. Apperntly these means only one thing & that one thing is that the head thingie has either gone or is about to go. I'm not sure of what that means exactly but for the technically or mechanically feeble minded like me, it's dead. Or will be shortly. So, I've been under strict instructions not to drive it under any circumstances. The other half has just taken it over to his folks to do whatever it is him & his step-dad decide to do with it and we will look into getting another car at the weekend. Bit shite really, especially when we thought we'd be okay this month and only have Josie's 21st next week to spend out on.
It seems I have up-graded from killing washing machines to killing cars. It's just a shame the car isn't as easy to replace as the washing machine which happened today too. We rent one you see. With the staggering amount of laundry 4 girls seem to create, it's much more economical.
So, tonight's blip was going to be luxury or at least something luxurious, but instead you get a racoon. It's part of a set that my sister-in-law in the States got for Arwen for Christmas and we spent this afternoon watching Tarzan & sewing this fella together. We will make the smaller one tomorrow afternoon. Actually, I guess you could call this a bit of a luxury, with the mad-house this place oftern is, it's very rare that Arwen & I get to spend time like that together. Yeah, luxurious indeed .. for both of us :)
