La Feliz

Today I was woken by Lauren looking into my face with a slightly swollen and very worried face. It seemed that the severity of our sunburn was much more apparent today but I had to giggle as Lauren asked questions such as whether her face was going to peel off or whether she would have scarring!

As Lauren ran off for something stronger than aloe vera, I sat down for some medialunas and cafe con leche at the hostel. After breakfast we both ended up back in bed sleeping off the sunstroke. It was raining today anyways which makes me feel slightly less stupid for getting so burnt and missing a day at the beach.

I decided to venture out for some lunch around 2 and spent over an hour in a little cafe reading whilst the rain was at its heaviest. After, I walked along the promenade for a good few hours exploring the different areas and beaches. I came to the conclusion that the beach we went to yesterday was the nicest.

After sleeping most of the day we were both ready to go out for dinner that night. We went to a steak house recommended by the owner of our hostel and had a lovely meal. Afterwards we moved into the bar, listened to a live band, went for a Strawberry Daiquiri (which became a regular drinks order), made a spontaneous decision to go to a club we passed on the taxi drive home, and finished the night off at the casino where I learnt how to play Black Jack!
