Where is my peanut?

This western gull was nagging me for peanuts as I wandered around the rhododendron gardens today. He had competition though, two stellar jays, a scrub jay and a couple of crows also were willing to dive in for a free meal. The geese were as pushy as always.

The scaups are back as are the wood ducks. I also saw a domestic muscovy hanging out. I was talking to a couple ladies and they think he usually is over at another pond, but there is work going on to clean that pond up so he may have relocated. We will see if it is temporary.

Capo almost got a roommate today. The Humane society is having a sale, all adult cats for $12! It is a good thing none of them jumped in my arms.

Now, it is nearly dinner time and then we shall see what comes up next.
