Re-Vision: A Photo Journal

Challenge: Reflection

Since I didn't get in on the January challenge at the onset (& was not keen on all those SP's), I decided I'd give the February challenge a go. I need serious inspiration, though some of the topics I may not do . Several are baffling me. If interested, you can find the list in the forum (left side of your blipfoto page).

This shot is a reflection of Hannah in an etched mirror. She wore this hat to school today for spirit week. I'm not good with portraits, so I did many retakes of this pose with my aim in focusing on the mirror's design & blurring her profile softly. This was the best I could manage, as we had to pop out to piano lessons.

In other sad news, the dog adoption we were hoping for fell through. The rescue finally emailed me to say she was in a trial placement & it appeared to be working out. Good for Lucy (the dog), sad for us. Out of all the hundreds of dogs I've browsed over the past several weeks of casual looking, she was the one that stole my heart & enticed me to apply for her. I wasn't even sure I wanted a second dog, but something has been nudging me lately to adopt one. I've never done so before, & it seems so rewarding. Since she was a mixed breed (white border collie & spaniel ...though I saw a hint at English Setter as well), chances of finding another dog with her demeanor & look will be slim. I shouldn't have let myself get hooked....famous last words!
