In a way, the resemblance of the underparts of the earpieces of the former D77's new headphones to a gramophone record reminds me a bit of the way a Phillips Roller stereo was designed to look like a stylised car. The job of headphones is merely to sound nice and not be excruciatingly uncomfortable, but if someone wants to sew little bits of leather all over them I'm sure they must have had a good reason, other than to allow them to be sold for lots more money that something a little more functional.

Despite the extended social breakfast delaying office-arrival until nearly ten, my first-of-the-month are now sufficiently few for this to not result in a morning of flapping and rushing. At one point in the early afternoon I was seemingly accused of having okayed the implementation of an illogical and unworkable solution but things otherwise went reasonably well, resulting in escape in time to get home only shortly after everyone else.
