Staying in the Warm

Too chilly really to have the back door open, but Ollie didn't want to be outside, but wanted to able to dash out if any trespassers or burglars or varmints dared to cross the garden!

I was busy preparing a chicken tagine, with chickpeas, olives, honey and lots of lovely spices, so obviously Ollie didn't want to be very far away, just in case there were any spare bits of chicken going begging!

The old green rocking chair on the right is one of the first three pieces of furniture my parents bought when they were first married. It was going to go to a charity, but has no fire proof certification, so they wouldn't take it. I was then instructed to take it to the tip, but decided it should come here instead. It is a fixed rocker, made of oak, circa 1956 and once I've recovered it, it will be as good as new.

Compare the new back door with this from September! That's progress for you!
