Precision balcony

This is the cantilevered balcony outside the guest bedrooms. It's still being made you understand .... Anyway, Christophe, the boss, was busily building this when Lizzie went up to the site yesterday. What I love about it are the little wooden wedges wedging the posts holding up the wooden frame holding up the steels that will hold up the balcony when the cement gets poured on Friday. Tap, tap, tap and the whole thing rises just a tad. Ease, ease, ease and it all lowers. It's all so sweetly handmade and so wonderfully NOT hi-tech.

I said Friday for the cement did I? Well, the temperature's plummeting and it's due to snow tomorrow. Ppffppshawblox!
