The lone watcher

Port Patrick, Ayreshire.

On a lovely day, we came across this very picturesque harbour town. The record of shipwrecks around the surrounding coast, made grim reading.
This person stood atop the rock memorial which looks out to sea. It just spoke of the times people watched and waited for their loved ones, return, sometimes in vain.
