Camp Day Zero - Nerf Wars

Camp Day One

It was time to put our sensibles on, all the campers arrived, all the farewells were said as parents drove off, leaving a bunch of 15-17 year olds in our (very capable) care for seven days. I've led on many many camps before this one, as had a lot of the other leaders. We all have horror stories, and our favourite tales to tell, and you never know what the camp will be like until the group arrives and is together for the first time on the first day. But we knew it was going to be fantastic, we had great plans, and were totally pumped.

That evening we had a nerf war - humans vs zombies, and got to see the beginnings of the community that would develop as we shared games, meals, adventures and misadventures over the coming week.


Also, a note on my photos. I can't use any photos that identify campers because of the forms their parents signed. I've got some crackers, but have to stick with the anonymous ones. This was the least identifiable from this day, hopefully it won't be a problem. Still, it's a pretty amusing shot.
