Poinsettia

This plant was bought for me by my sister last Christmas. It only lasted a few days before all the leaves dropped off, however with tender loving care I have kept it alive all year.

Before Christmas this year it was still very green and the gardening books suggested keeping it covered during the day and hence I tried this. However, it didn't seem to work so I placed it on a window sill in full light. It is gradually turning this beautiful red and looks stunning. Not having particularly green fingers, my dad would be pleased with me.
