This cheeky little poppet stole the show on the woodland walk.

It was dark, dismal, cold, and snow was threatened, but there were still plenty of dogs with their humans, and other creatures around in the woods.

The Jay was making a lot of noise. Was it the male shouting out to his female, who was answering but making no attempt to approach him ? I was tempted to ask why he hadn't been to the garden for the RSPB Big Birdwatch.

And these two were having their usual scuffle.

Off to Symphony Hall to see Alfie Boe tonight. Hope the snow stays away for now.
