Riding thermals

A hot, hot day. F and I went to Ben & Jerry's Sundae on the Common to eat as much free ice cream as we could handle (only two cones each!) We sat on the grass playing Scrabble and listening to bands (Ash and Lemonheads). Shade was hard to come by - there were many families packed into the long shadow created by the helter-skelter. At one point, F and I looked up to see tens of tens of gulls riding the thermals.
