Homeward
Our last day here at Tahoe so the morning consisted of tidying, packing and some last minute photos. It's been a great trip and Tahoe is a great place to visit. As I said earlier I'd probably do things a little differently next time. Things like, staying at Heavenly Village so you can walk to the lifts and bars/restaurants. The condo was great, especially for a family, but it meant you had to jump in to go anywhere.
I'd probably still get a car however, as Tahoe has a number of areas which you can drive to, it would be great to experience some of the smaller ones. I'd also pack a lunch each day. The on-mountain restaurants are so expensive. $13.75 US for a hamburger and there wasn't much any cheaper.
And then it was time to leave, a 3 hour drive back to San Francisco, via the factory outlets.
Check-in, another upgrade, onto the big 747 bird, and an 11.5 hour flight home. In the process I technically missed by birthday as we flex thru the dateline. Nice ;-)
It's a different aspect, but note the difference in snow between arriving, and leaving.
