Skiing!

I lay awake much of the night listening to the torrential rain, hoping that it was now. Then at around 5am things went quiet and the snow began at lake level. By the time we got up at 7am there was around 10cm of snow outside. Awesome!

There was a problem however, due to wind many of the lifts weren't open. So after a big breakfast we headed to the Nevada side of heavenly to the Stagecoach Lodge and lifts. Snow was great, winds were strong and sadly only one lift was open, the Stagecoach. But it was still great skiing and the snow was light, we skied and skied, 18 000ft in 11 runs before the wind and cold got to us.

Home to a bath to ease the muscles ... Ahh.
