Disco Ball

I've never quite understood this light. I've no idea whether it serves any purpose besides a decorative one - and if it is purely decorative I don't know why it was installed next to Nanchang Bridge as it is overwhelmed by the bridge itself.
Well it's certainly one of the tackier monuments to the on-going development of Nanchang, and all the more loveable for it.
