Monsieur Rat

So hard to choose a photo today as we had such a nice time. But here we are: Matthew and I went to a bookfair in the local town today. Lots of lovely, lovely fresh, clean, beautifully illustrated childrens books everywhere. And a story telling with claymodelling afterwards. They all got giant t-shirts and went up on stage for the workshop. Et voila: Monsieur Rat. Pretty fantastic, I think. We left him on the stage for 10 minutes and went to buy a book; when we came back there was some delicate prodding- 'is he still hot?' I haven't explained yet that he isn't fired. And he chose to buy the life story of Wonder Woman the Amazon princess- pronounced Under Woman, apparently.

After we got back and ate a chocolate biscuit for every piece of fruit consumed- good deal- we went for our first adventure into the quarry. We only got about 20 metres it was so overgrown, but Ross had his sickle and Mattie had sticks to beat the brambles and I had Nell in the backpack. And it felt like the middle of the wilderness.
