Making a Movie

Lights, camera, 'Action'!! Well............Lights anyway.

A movie is being filmed in Stirling. This was the scene earlier this evening at the Corn Exchange council building where the windows have been covered up and very bright spotlights shining in through the windows. I didn't see any actors / actresses so I guess the 'cameras and action' bit was going on inside and I wasn't going to hang about outside in the cold for too long. Intriguingly an ambulance was parked outside but don't know if it was real or fake so maybe some action of one sort or another was expected!

Oh, the movie? It's called 'Filth'. I gather from a Go0gle search that Filth is based on controversial novel by Irvine Welsh, who also wrote Trainspotting. The movie adaptation of another work of his, Ecstasy, is showing at the Glasgow Film Festival next month. James McAvoy and Jamie Bell star as two cops who are brought in to solve a brutal murder. If you want to know more then Google search is the thing to do.

Interesting stuff, but I doubht if it is a film I'll be watching.
