Conservation Conundrum

Unlike Poppy our house is very ugly. We have applied for permission to clad it in weather board, this will be in keeping with many of the buildings nearby.

It seems that someone in the conservation office thinks that this 1970s box is some sort of architectural gem and has therefore refused our permission.

I shall call him tomorrow and discuss what we are going to do about it, although they can stop us sticking the wood on, they cannot stop is painting it any colour, or colours we want so maybe there is a compromise to be found somewhere!

So that was a bit of a downer for us.... Still they have no say over the extension on the back so that is going ahead once we find a builder...

Never easy is it....
