Move over Bridget........

Lazy Sunday.......

........as opposed to a lazy Saturday! After another biscuit breakfast we decided on (well, I decided on, he went along with) a trip to Lyme Regis. Driving to the beach sounded a bit safer than scaling a cliff. We walked out on the cobb and watched some birds - possibly cormorants (if it's not a sparrow I need a book to check....and I expect a dictionary). Then back to the seafront for a wander, laughed at the people in dinghies trying to sail with no wind - and then on to Monmouth beach to find fossils (again, friends...think it, no need to say it!! ;O) Bearing in mind I have now sprained both ankles (right on grass outside a museum, left on path near a castle) me walking on stones and rocks was a recipe for disaster, so as soon as we found a couple of fossils we went back to the car.

Today was the day Andrew would fulfil his promise of 3 years to me....men, please note, if you email a girl trying to impress her by agreeing to watch her favourite films, we do not forget!! So with a packet of marshmallows and a wadge of tissues (and apple pie at half time) we settled down to watch the Bridges of Madison County. Now, bearing in mind I once cried at the Disney Parade, there was no hope of retaining my dignity during this film - I'd forgotten how wonderful it is. The best thing was, Andrew not only stayed awake - he actually enjoyed it.....hurraaahhhhhh - floodgates open for more soppy films. He didn't even laugh at me for crying!!

Tempting as another night in front of the fire was, we have now run out of food (apart from biscuits but even I have limits) so we went to Cinnamons Indian Restaurant in Axminster - amazing food.....but can't remember what I ordered...apart from it was duck based! Back to a roaring fire and 'Take me Out....the gossip'....I think I was pushing my luck at that point! ;O)
