Rings

Went out for a chilly but lovely walk today at Snipe Dales (a wood & nature reserve). They have recently cleared a large area of conifers to replace with native deciduous trees. It looks rather barren at the moment but will be nice when the new trees have had a chance to grow. This was one of the felled trees that had not yet been removed. Looks by the rings as if it has been around for quite a while.
