Bashful bird

Chickadees are not known for being bashful. Quite the opposite; they are very friendly little birds and have even landed on my hand to pick up a peanut and, once or twice, on the end of my camera lens. But the way this little fellow was standing, with his toes turned in and his head turned away, bashful was the word that popped into my mind. Put out some peanuts, however, and there is nothing bashful about them. Usually first in line, they will come back again and again. They do love peanut chips!
