Lucy Cupcakes

Hannah wanted to bake cupcakes today, as she loves the Food Network show, Cupcake Wars. She saw the preview for this week's challenge was an "I Love Lucy" contest, & that of course, prompted lots of excitement for my little baker & avid Lucy fan! She searched for a vanilla cupcake recipe online & made them almost entirely on her own, even the icing!

Earlier today, we took Bailey out for a trail walk. Amazing to think it's warm enough at the end of January to want to go out for a walk. An overzealous Great Dane knocked Bailey into a roll & almost tripped us too as the owner had no control. Irresponsible pet owners are so frustrating.

And, not to jinx things, but we actually put in an adoption application yesterday for a rescue dog named Lucy! Trying not to get our hopes up as it could fall through or she could already be in the process of an adoption. If it's meant to be, I'm sure it will.
