Winter on the Mountains

Overcast today but some great snow conditions,again plenty of folk about but less familys and more walker and climbers all well prepared.It was Crampons and ice axes conditions with a compass & map 'a must' as the low cloud roled in creating a seamless white out.

Lost one of my new winter gloves (thhankfully i had a spare pair).
Nearly lost a crampon as i had,nt noticed it coming off in the deep snow, luckily i realised and quickly retraced my steps and recovered it.Now that could of been an expensive loss.
Apart from that had a great days outing Lol
Even came across two lads on Mountain bikes toughing it out through the deep snow.

Back to work tomorrow after a great weekend of winter walking.
