Chinese New Year Fireworks

Every year at my children's school, they hold a fireworks display to raise money. Instead of trying to compete with all the local firework displays on November 5th, a couple of years ago they decided to move the date to after Christmas and celebrate the Chinese New Year instead. They haven't looked back and it has become a really successful event... something exciting to look forward to in a long dull month!

I took lots of shots this evening but this one was my favourite. Really liked the long shape of the sparks.
