A cold, frosty, birding morning
Today was the second day of the RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch and I decided to do my hour first thing. It really froze hard here last night and all of the water was solid so had to go out in my pyjamas and sort it out. Boy was it cold!!!
There were a few birds around to make the count, including a fabulous Bullfinch, only the second I've ever seen in my garden. Did take a pic but, whilst you can tell it's a Bullfinch, I'm not posting it!!
The other entries on the list were 2 Robins (parent and youngster I think), 2 Blue Tits, a Blackbird, a Dunnock, 2 Wood Pigeon and a couple of Sparrows.
Here, as promised, are some pics from yesterday.
Dexter and Trudie looking adoring.
Dexter 1 and 2.
My grandparents' old house, by the large oak tree.
The view across the marshes.
A local resident!
It turned very cold as the sun went down.
